  • Implement secure and reliable device connectivity, telemetry processing, and remote management workflows
  • Support proof-of-concepts and production deployments for connected-product and industrial IoT use cases
  • Collaborate with software, cloud, data, and client stakeholders to translate requirements into practical technical solutions
  • Troubleshoot field issues related to connectivity, device provisioning, message delivery, and platform integrations
  • Contribute to API integrations, data pipelines, dashboards, and operational tooling that support IoT deployments
  • Document architecture decisions, configuration standards, support procedures, and deployment notes
  • Help improve scalability, observability, and security across client IoT environments

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional experience in IoT, embedded, or edge-connected systems engineering
  • Strong programming skills in Python, C/C++, or Java for device, gateway, or backend integration work
  • Hands-on experience with IoT protocols and messaging patterns such as MQTT, HTTP, TCP/IP, WebSockets, or CoAP
  • Experience integrating devices with AWS IoT, Azure IoT, or similar cloud-based IoT platforms
  • Solid understanding of telemetry ingestion, sensor data modeling, event-driven workflows, and device lifecycle management
  • Experience troubleshooting connectivity, provisioning, firmware update, or field-device reliability issues
  • Familiarity with Linux-based edge environments, containers, and API-driven system integrations
  • Working knowledge of security practices for authentication, encryption, certificate handling, and secure device communication
  • Ability to document solution flows, technical assumptions, and deployment considerations clearly for internal and client audiences
  • Availability for a consistent part-time schedule with regular U.S. Eastern Time overlap

Benefits & Perks

  • Remote part-time role with flexible scheduling and meaningful technical ownership
  • Competitive hourly compensation aligned to U.S. market expectations for experienced IoT engineers
  • Exposure to connected-device, edge, cloud, and systems-integration work across client engagements
  • Opportunity to work on practical IoT solutions with real business and operational impact
  • Collaborative environment with engineering, cloud, and delivery stakeholders
  • Long-term engagement potential as connected-systems projects expand
  • Structured remote workflow with clear priorities and delivery support
