About This Role
Data Group Inc. is seeking a Product Manager to lead discovery, roadmap planning, and delivery alignment for client-facing technology initiatives. This part-time remote role is ideal for a hands-on product professional who can translate business goals into clear priorities, drive cross-functional execution, and communicate confidently with both client stakeholders and delivery teams.
This position is fully remote within the United States and follows a flexible part-time schedule with regular u.s. eastern time overlap.
Responsibilities
- Own product planning for assigned initiatives, from discovery through release readiness
- Translate client and user needs into prioritized backlogs, roadmaps, and clearly scoped work
- Lead planning sessions, grooming, demos, and retrospectives with distributed teams
- Align engineering, design, QA, and stakeholders around goals, scope, risks, and dependencies
- Define measurable success criteria and track outcomes after release
- Prepare concise status updates, release notes, requirements artifacts, and decision logs
- Surface tradeoffs early and recommend practical solutions that balance value, speed, and feasibility
- Support client communication and help ensure delivered outcomes match business expectations
Requirements
- 4+ years of product management experience in SaaS, digital products, platforms, or enterprise software
- Proven ability to own backlogs, write PRDs or user stories, and define acceptance criteria with engineering teams
- Experience running discovery, stakeholder interviews, and requirement workshops in remote settings
- Strong working knowledge of agile delivery, sprint planning, and backlog prioritization tools such as Jira, Linear, or Azure DevOps
- Comfort using analytics and qualitative feedback to evaluate adoption, usability, and business impact
- Ability to partner closely with design, engineering, QA, and business stakeholders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive-ready updates and documentation
- Experience in client-facing consulting, IT services, or multi-stakeholder B2B environments strongly preferred
- Sound understanding of APIs, integrations, and software delivery constraints, even if not hands-on coding
- Availability for a consistent part-time schedule with regular U.S. Eastern Time overlap
